Reservations
All reservations must be confirmed in writing. To guarantee the reservation a 25% deposit is required within 10 days of confirmation. The deposit is refundable if the group is cancelled more than 45 days prior to arrival, unless otherwise indicated. For bookings made within 10 days of arrival, full payment by wire transfer is required.
Terms and conditions vary according to each supplier, exact terms & conditions for your booking will be communicated at time of booking or upon request prior to booking.
Payments
Full payment is required 40 days prior to arrival by bank transfer in the agreed currency (CAD, USD, EUR, GBP).
Payment have to be made by wire transfer or cheque. Cheque have to be received at least 5 working days prior to the required payment date.
Cancellations
Unless any supplier involved in your travel arrangements has more restrictive conditions, the following will apply:
- 45 days or more : Initial deposit becomes non-refundable once paid
- 44 – 15 days: 50% cancellation charge
- 14 – 7 days: 75% cancellation charge
- Groups cancelled after this period: 100% cancellation charge
- Individual reservations cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival: 100% cancellation charge
The cancellation policy applies to all group bookings.
We require a rooming list six weeks prior to arrival for groups, to forward to the hotels. The final rooming list must be supplied to us at least two weeks prior to arrival. Small amendments will be acceptable up to 7 days prior to arrival. Any amendments or cancellations made less than 7 days prior to arrival will not be accepted and a cancellation charge may apply. Amendments will be subject to hotels’ attrition and cancellation policies.
Liability
5Continents and all affiliated companies give notice that all arrangements for transport and conveyance, and for hotel accommodation or for any services, are made by them as agents on express condition that they shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or irregularity howsoever caused.
We strongly recommend that all clients take out travel insurance.
Any contract entered into with the 5Continents will be subject to the law and jurisdiction of Quebec, Canada.
Complaint/Compensation
(a) In case of complaints or problems regarding the services supplied by 5Continents, the client should report them immediately to give 5Continents the chance to investigate and try to solve them.
(b) If the client fails to follow the procedure mentioned above, your right for compensation may be affected, as we will have been deprived of the opportunity to rectify the problem.
(c) If the complaint is not resolved during the period of the stay, a registered letter should be sent to 5Continents within 15 days from the last day of services.
