We certainly will make sure to include one of you in our next adventure 😉 5Continents Returns from an Unforgettable FAM Trip to Kenya An Immersive Journey of Culture, Wildlife, and Connection Montreal, Canada — From April 29 to May 6, 2025, 5Continents hosted a FAM trip to Kenya, offering 10 travel advisors a firsthand encounter with one of Africa’s most vibrant and inspiring destinations. The trip was escorted by Sabrina Greca, Director of Business Development and Marketing, and operated in collaboration with Twiga Tours, 5Continents’ trusted on-location partners. From the moment the group landed, Kenya opened its arms and its wild heart. Agents experienced daily safaris, breathtaking animal encounters, and rich cultural immersion, all while enjoying the service and thoughtful attention to details 5Continents is known for. Highlights included: Feeding giraffes at the iconic Giraffe Centre A moving visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where several participants chose to adopt an orphaned elephant Awe-inspiring hot-air balloon safari over the Masai Mara at sunrise Visits to local Maasai villages, offering insight into traditional customs and way of life Countless wildlife sightings, from lions and elephants to rhinos, zebras, and cheetahs Hosted dinner at Twiga tours’ owners private home, adding a wonderful human dimension to the trip “This wasn’t just a trip — it was a sensory journey,” said Sabrina Greca. “From the sounds of the savannah to the warmth of the Kenyan people, every detail was infused with meaning and magic. Our long time partners and friends at Twiga Tours delivered an experience that was both seamless and deeply moving.” This FAM served not only as an educational opportunity, but also as a reminder of why Africa continues to captivate travelers seeking connection, authenticity, and once-in-a-lifetime moments. The participating agents returned with stories, insights, and a renewed passion to share Kenya with their clients. For more information about 5Continents’ tailor-made travel experiences or upcoming FAM opportunities, please contact us at sales@5Continentsca.com Testimony from agents: Camille Wilson - The Travel Agent Next Door My first experience in Africa did not disappoint in any way! I feel beyond spoiled that it was Kenya, too. Not sure how I will top this. From each and every day witnessing the majestic wildlife in full action, feeding Giraffes, falling in love with 4-year-old Weka... a joyful, full of attitude toddler elephant who I am proudly sponsoring for life. Meeting the very talented ladies creating magic out of clay into colorful jewelry. The delicious food everywhere, each Chef proudly mingle to see if there is anything else they can offer. I loved chatting with the front-line staff in hotels and wanting to be a cheerleader for them on their positive bold plans for life. Thanks for this opportunity 5CONTINENTS. This first-hand experience has a part of my heart. I can't wait to return with my family. It has allowed me to speak more intelligently on Kenya to my clients. I'm beyond excited to share all knowing what is awaiting them on their arrival, experiencing Kenya. Linda Dennis - The Travel Agent Next Door Honestly, a Kenya safari was never something I thought I’d do—until this opportunity popped up in my inbox. Discovering how 5 Continents crafts their safari experiences sparked my excitement, especially knowing that as part of a FAM trip, some unforgettable surprises awaited us. From the moment Twiga Tours, the local partner, welcomed us like family, to our guides who amazed us daily with their deep knowledge and passion for the safari and their homeland — every moment was truly inspiring and indeed magical. Thanks 5 Continents and Twiga Tours for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

France barge FAM
France barge FAM We discovered the Art of Slow Travel on a CroisiEurope Barge We traded in the busy streets of Strasbourg for pure relaxation aboard CroisiEurope’s MS Madeleine barge, winding through the Alsace region of France. With just 11 cabins on board, our FAM group of 21 (including myself, Tammy, the 5Continents host!) was the perfect size. Big enough to mingle, yet small enough to really connect and share plenty of laughs along the way. As we glided through 41 locks on the Marne Canal, the crew assured us the first would be the most exciting, however, standout moments included a 17-meter elevation lock and the incredible Arzviller Incline Plane (imagine an elevator for a barge!) which replaced 17 locks and reduced the trip length by a full day. Life onboard was all about the details: a crew of 6 delivering above-and-beyond service (step into the jacuzzi and voilà, champagne arrives within minutes!), French cuisine crafted in the tiniest of kitchens, and daily wine pairings with cheeses unique to the region. Top highlights included: Panoramic canal tour of Strasbourg, a UNESCO World Heritage site Glass blowing demonstration at Crystal Lehrer Saverne walking tour and the Chateau de Haut-barr Vins d’Alsace Domaine Bohr tour and wine tasting A private dinner at La Marne to experience authentic Tartes Flambees Visit to the Maison du Kochersberg Museum for a feel of Alsace traditions Gala evening with special guests David Boigne and Sabrina Greca Testimony from advisors: “I’ve been dying to do this! The barge experience is like an upscale houseboat. This is a fantastic experience for a group, family, or even a corporate getaway for 6 nights. We are on the canals of Europe, not the rivers, where you can walk along the canal from lock to lock or enjoy a scenic bike ride. The food is amazing — it’s like going to a friend’s house for dinner, a French friend who happens to be a Michelin-star chef, serving 4-course lunches. The excursions are off the beaten path, un-touristed, and customizable, offering a truly authentic experience. If you have clients looking for adventurous, authentic, slow travel, I think this is absolutely fantastic!” Wendy Weir from Farmstead Travel "What a fabulous experience on our 5Continents/Croisi river barge cruise. Gentle canals passing through verdent green French countryside. Quaint towns, farms, castles as far as your eyes could see. Delectable cuisine by our personal chef, and such outstanding service by our crew on this intimate boat.” Stephen Harper from Travel Best Why Barging? CroisiEurope barges are perfect for small groups, families, or corporate getaways. Six nights of slow travel means scenic canals, hidden villages, and fresh local cuisine at a pace your clients will love. Walk, cycle, sip wine, and savor the culture. Slow travel never tasted so good! Full article and reference : https://mailchi.mp/cee9b7671b87/explore-the-amazon-new-itineraries-from-croisieurope-18250722

5Continents shows French Polynesia to Canadian advisors
5Continents recently brought a select group of ten travel advisors to the islands of French Polynesia. The trip from Dec 8-18, 2024 was led by 5Continents’ Tammy Olivier, BDM for Western Canada and Holly McCullough, a travel designer. Advisors visited the islands of Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, and Rangiroa. Highlights included the 2024 Tahiti Tourisme Exchange, site inspections, island tours, activities like snorkeling with stingrays and black tipped-reef sharks, drift snorkeling, and a day spent at the Blue Lagoon on Rangiroa. The FAM provided insights into inter-island travel logistics, including Air Tahiti flights and ferry options and recommendations for tailoring itineraries to different client preferences, from luxury honeymooners to adventure seekers. 5Continents says participants gained a deeper understanding of the local culture and how it enriches the overall travel experience. “While on the FAM, we had a last-minute itinerary change due to weather and a cancelled tour in Moorea. It was amazing to see first-hand how quickly 5Continents reacted and was able to change our itinerary to fill in the blanks, which leaves me very confident about doing business with 5Continents knowing my clients will be well taken care of” said Shawna Flinkert of TLN’s Travel Best Bets, in a press release. David Boigne, managing partner of 5Continents, added: “We are thrilled to have shared our passion for this incredible destination with our partner agents. French Polynesia is truly special, not only for its breathtaking lagoons and landscapes but also for its warm people and rich traditions. The Mana, the vital force that embodies the spirit of the islands, the people, and the ma’ohi culture, adds a unique dimension that few destinations in the world can match.” “Growing up in France, French Polynesia was the ultimate dream for me. When I first visited, I realized that the dream was real—it’s not just a paradise for honeymooners, but a place that resonates deeply with all who experience it.” Full article and reference : https://www.paxnews.com/news/tour-operator/5continents-show-french-polynesia-canadian-advisors

5Continents welcomes Tammy Olivier to team
5Continents is welcoming Calgary-based Tammy Olivier to its sales team. With an extensive background in customer service (she worked for the RCMP at one point) and sales (seven years at FunSun) and a passion for travel (and hiking), Olivier on board to take 5Continents to the next level. “I'm thrilled to be back in the industry! I've had a passion for travel from the time I went on my first trip with my family to Disneyland and haven't looked back since. Agents unpack French beauty aboard barge with CroisiEurope & 5Continents
5Continents recently hosted 12 Canadian travel advisors on a barge in France with CroisiEurope, introducing travel pros to the art of slow travel. The six-night sailing aboard the MS Raymonde from June 19-25 took place along the Oise River, which is just north of Paris. CroisiEurope owns and operates six barges vessels (also known as péniches). Each one has just 11 cabins and holds a maximum of 22 passengers. As PAX learned during a brief péniche sailing last December, the experience is like being on a floating boutique hotel that’s staffed with a personal crew and chef. Sailing through France’s countryside Meandering through France's picturesque canals and rivers, CroisiEurope’s barges can explore charming villages, historic sites, and breathtaking natural beauty from the comfort of an intimate vessel. The itineraries also cover some of France’s most culturally rich regions, from the vineyards of Burgundy to the landscapes of Provence. Guests also enjoy guided excursions, gourmet meals featuring regional specialties, and the chance to immerse themselves in the local culture and traditions. Advisors sound off In a press release, Danny and Debbie Almon of AlmonTravel called their barge cruise “delightful.” “From the viewpoint of very experienced river cruisers (11 itineraries), we were looked after in all aspects of our adventure, from expertly planned and guided excursions in each port, opportunities to simply relax and enjoy the river navigating, as our crew put it,” the pair said in a joint statement. The barge sails about 32 kilometres per day, on average, the duo noted. They appreciated having beverages made on order, meals using local ingredients “prepared for and carved in front of us,” experiencing different local cheeses and wines with meals and “lively camaraderie with the staff, all of whom spoke English quite well.” “The local towns we visited were wonderful examples of communities that reached far back in time and without exception, were friendly and open to our visit,” the Almons said. Diane Donato, manager of Inclusive-Travel, added how the staff “made us feel like family.” “I don't remember laughing so much on a trip,” Donato stated. Itineraries can be customized based on interest, and for travel advisors hosting small or niche groups, there are opportunities to charter ships and create exclusive experiences. Barge cruising, in France, has been around for a while, but is only now starting to gain steam in the Canadian market. For the client who’s been there, done that, and enjoys flexibility, a péniche cruise is something new to consider. 5Continents, which represents CroisiEurope in Canada, ties everything together. The company specializes in creating tailor-made journeys – and only works with the trade. Sabrina Greca named national dir., business development & marketing at 5Continents
5Continents has announced the appointment of Sabrina Greca as its national director of business development and marketing. “We define ourselves as a service company based on people more than technology, so who better to take this mission to the next level than Sabrina,” said David Boigné, founder and president of 5Continents. “To say that Sabrina's arrival was part of a long-standing plan would be a lie; it came about naturally as Sabrina and 5Continents were at a crossroads.” “Working abroad made me realise what’s most important to me: my children, of course, but also all the incredible connections I’d made in Canada — and yes, I did miss the travel agents,” she said. “I’m well aware that people think they’ll have to dissociate me from the world of cruises, and that won’t be 100 per cent the case, but I promise to put as much passion into 5Continents as I've put into cruises! I'm honoured by David’s confidence in me to help him grow this company, which is already so successful and whose values are already close to my heart.” Valérie Favreau, the tour operator’s general director, also welcomed Greca. “We are delighted with Sabrina’s arrival, and we are already working on transforming our operational structure so that it is ready to manage the expansion,” she said. “In fact, two new colleagues will be joining the current team as of next month.” “You can't invent an ambassador like Michèle, and we're very proud to have her on the team,” said Boigné. Claudia Tourigny will also continue in inside sales.
